Just testing, not working

My computer is so slow it's driving me around the bend. I'm trying to podcast my little talky bit but it doesn't seem to be working yet. I have to do some other work now but in the words of Arnie, I'll be back.

Later
No, my podcast isn't working but if you pop over to my sidebar you can hear my little talky bit!! If you really want to. And later on I'll upload the monologue I read: narrated by Sarah when Abraham and Isaac have left to go to the mountain (for the sacrifice).

Later still
Now I've uploaded Sarah's monologue for anyone who'd like to hear. Alun and I split the morning between us. He recapped on what's gone before and gave a bit of historical context regarding sacrifice, then handed over to me. I read my monologue, then Alun talked about the prophetic aspect of the story. How Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son was foretelling the willingness of God to give his son. It's even thought that Mount Moriah, the site of Abraham's sacrifice, was the same place as Golgotha where Christ was crucified. I finished it off with my talky bit about sacrifice now. And that was the morning.

hello, just listening to your talk! It is a bit disarming hearing it without laughter in the pauses, like the vicar of dibley when she has to do a second take for Songs of Praise. there was laughter in the pauses yes? hee hee. xx PS Hmph! Best not break arm during Neighbours eh?

How nice to hear your voice after all this time! I often wonder what bloggers' voices sound like. Yours is somewhat how I imagined but not quite. It is very soothing.

"It's not one size fits all." You said it, Liz. Great talk.

I enjoyed listening to that. Its not one size fits all is so true.

It sounds like it's time to upgrade your computer. I did recently and the difference is amazing.

You are fantastic making podcasts, you are a natural speaker, I do admire that skill. I'm hoping to publish some youtube posts tomorrow.

Well I have this problem that when I come to your site the first talking bit starts up and then the second one starts up and they both talk together! I checked earlier and there was some song being played over the top of you speaking.
All very interesting.
Where's the lovely Welsh accent?
I'll come back later.

I just listened to your podcasts and you were marvelous! Very insightful. I didn't have to actually "think" to do what I did, but managed to get through it without stumbling. I love your voice - my friend Marion who lives in Andover was born in Cardiff and she sounds similar to you. My Nana was born in Lladdudno (sp?) so I was used to a Welsh accent all my life. It's a lot softer than some of the English accents. Sometimes I can't understand them! lol

I also just peeked at your youtube about Harvey. Do you still have him or has he passed on now and that's why you're looking for a puppy? My friend Jane in Newport has 3 big dogs and they're just so lovely - I'm quite the dog lover and don't mind a bit when they want to sit on my lap, no matter what size they are. I'd love to meet you one of these days, Liz!

Ok, now I've figured it out, turn one off until the first one is finished. How pathetic am I?
Good job, Liz. Interesting to put a voice to a face and then to words.

Hi Liz, I was delighted to listen to you speak...I feel that I really know you now.

You are a very confident and accomplished speaker and I was totally caught up in Sarah's monologue. What a great way to put a message across.

Great to listen to!

Huh ... ever notice that the voice does not seem to match the one you have created in your head?

Actually, anna, they weren't a very receptive - as in laughalot - audience.

Elsie, my voice doesn't sound at all as it does in my ears! Glad you enjoyed it.

You too, 4kids.

Thank you, ellee. That is a real compliment coming from you, an accomplished speaker!

Oh, I can do a good Welsh accent when I need to, jmb! I'll have to publish one of my 'Welsh' monologues!

Leslie, thank you. You see: you think I sound Welsh and jmb doesn't! Harvey died at the end of July, aged nearly 15.

Smart move, jmb!

Thanks, robyn. it does make a difference hearing someone speak, doesn't it?

mdm, do you mean in your head or my head? It certainly doesn't the same in my head.

Now I could finally put a voice with your beautiful face Liz. You were wonderful....truly. You have a beautiful voice....clear and smooth...and lovely. You should be very proud of how you did Liz.

Stu, my computer is usually okay; it was just Monday that it was cranky.

Thank you joy! x
