Souper Trooper

As I am now a Souper Star I have decided to make myself soup and bread for dinner. As I write the bread is merrily making itself in the machine and I am about to delve into the depths of the pantry for possible soup ingredients.

I hope it will turn out better than the last soup I made at home, the vile taste of which was not improved by the presence of bits of glass.

My soups are so thick they resemble stews. I just keep adding and adding things from the pantry and the fridge.

Hm, mine are like that too. Tonight's was okay - a sort of carroty, leeky, celery thing.

JMB said exactly what I was going to. Soups over here are like this because the role of the food going down with liquid is vital. All my major meals are in this stewy/soupy form now.

How did you get glass in your soup?

I don't think I'd like all my dinners soupy, James.

4kids, I wish I knew. It was a good excuse to throw it out though!

Yes, thick soups are great, especially this time of year. The clocks have gone back, it's always dark, but at least I can put my feet up with a steaming bowl of soup, mmm...
