Like a banana

I was just ironing Husband's shirt - some things don't respond well to being sat upon - when, for some reason, it reminded me of a shirt I bought for him either before or just after we were married. He wore it regularly until it became frayed, and then he finally admitted that he had never liked it.

When he was having chemotherapy and was in hospital for a week at a time, I bought him some pyjamas. Bright yellow ones. I thought they would cheer him up. He didn't like those either.

Now he doesn't buy me clothes and I don't buy him clothes. It's simpler that way.

My ex tried to insist on buying my clothes...trouble was, I didn't like his taste.

Tell him if he does not start approving of your clothing selections, you'll just spray-paint his body blue and be done with it!

I'd stop ironing for him!

I managed to buy my wife a top for our wedding anniversary this year - unaided by another female and it was ... the right size, a suitable colour, an appropriate style. She's worn it several times and I know she isn't just being polite.

Amazing! I should quit whilst I'm a head... :-)

That's a far better plan, I believe, Liz. My ex bought me a dress...once...never did it again! ;)

But the fact that he wore it regularly is kind of sweet, he must have wanted to please you nonetheless.
